THE AWAKENING FEATURE FILM 10 YEARS ANNIVERSARY

Wow! 10 years have gone by since filming commenced on ‘The Awakening’ directed by Nick Murphy and Screenplay by Nick Murphy and Stephen Volk.

Starring Dominic West and Rebecca Hall, Florence Cathcart played by Rebecca Hall, is invited to a school in Cumbria to investigate strange goings on. It is set just after World War I and a skeptical Florence soon becomes aware that the things going on in the boy’s school are not normal and matters just get worse and worse.

There were a lot of boys involved in this film, loads of extras and the main boys. I was one of the youngest and luckily got one of the parts. We filmed in two locations, Cheshire on the 8th July, 10 years ago today, then we moved on to film in the borders of Scotland from the 15th July.

We had a great time and I thought it might be a good idea to update the pictures of ‘the boys’. First, a picture of what we looked like 10 years ago and now.

10 years on. From left to right.

Alfie Field

Ewan Andrew Walker joined us in Scotland and he is not in the above pic. I can’t find an up to date image of Ewan but I have emailed him to get one. I hope he has the same email address. Ewan is third from left to right.

Now last but not least the Main Man,
Isaac Hempstead Wright

Isaac is second from the left holding the ipad.

What a great time we had.

THE SANDMAN by Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman has partnered with the streaming audiobook service Audible for a multi-part adaptation of his comic series, featuring a cast filled with the biggest names in Hollywood. And Me!

I am over the moon to be part of this great production. It was a huge challenge and I enjoyed every minute of it.

The brilliant Dirk Maggs cast me in several parts with various accents English and American. I first met Dirk and Neil Gaiman when I was cast to play ‘The Antichrist’, Adam, in Gaiman’s and Terry Pratchett’s BBC Radio 4’s adaption of ‘Good Omens’.
