On Saturday I went to Manchester to the screening of Harriet’s Army, a three part World War 1 drama.  The three episodes were spliced together to make a 90 minute film.  It was really great and I met up with the cast again which was was really nice as we had a good time together making the drama.  The first episode will be  on CBBC at the beginning of August so make sure you lookout for it.

Here are some pictures from behind the scenes:-  It was pretty cold during filming!

ALTAR feature film is heading for the Toronto Film Festival this September

I have been invited to the cast and crew screening for ‘Altar’ the new feature film by Director, Nick Willing  (Neverland) and starring        Matthew Modine, Antonia Clarke, Olivia Williams and me.

I can’t wait to see the finished film, it is going to be very exciting.  It is a spooky tale and ‘my family’ go through lots of troublesome times.  It will be on general release at the end of the year.

I had a great time making this film in Yorkshire and everybody from the Director, actors, crew and to the people working at the Best Western in Boroughbridge, they  were all  fantastic.

I went to the London Comic Con convention yesterday at London’s Earl’s Court and it is the first time I have been.  It was really great and I was surprised how many people were there.  The inside and outside was packed and many, many people dressed up for the occasion.  It was funny on the underground too as there were lots of people dressed up in fantastic costumes and of course, being London, nobody took a blind bit of notice.  Anyway, here is my report on the show.  Have a look.

I tried to buy this poster at The Gadget Show Live at the NEC Birmingham but they sold out, so I was in luck and managed to get it yesterday.  Assassins Creed: Black Flag.

BATMAN VILLAINS at school and no BATMAN to save everyone!

Yesterday we turned up at school dressed as Batman villains.   The picture shows, left to right, Jamie, Me, George, Romario and Jake.     It was a no uniform day at school and you can imagine the look on our teachers faces when we turned up like this.  They liked it though.  Kris Rich, our resident photographer, took the photos.  KrisRichPhotography

I was thrilled to receive a letter today from CBBC which had a blue peter badge with it.   Blue Peter reporters visited the set of ‘Harriet’s Army’ during filming.  A few of the actors were interviewed about the  new 3 part series which will be screened on CBBC soon.  I was not on set for the interview but I have still received a Blue Peter Badge which is really great.  There are different colour badges for  different types of achievements.  You can find out about all the badges HERE including the new SPORTS BADGE .

Thank you Blue Peter.

A friend said they had seen my photo in a ‘Game of  Thrones’ picture.  I did audition for Game of Thrones when I was about 10 years old. I didn’t get the job, but a boy I know did,  Isaac Hempstead-Wright. We met during filming ‘The Awakening’,   no relative.  So I knew it wasn’t me, although Isaac and I used to look quite alike.  He is changed now and looks all grown up.  He is a bit older than me but I still look much the same!!!

Anyway, much as I would love to be in Game of Thrones, the picture is  Maisie Williams Playing Arya Stark,  we could be relatives though!  Do you think  another Stark family member could suddenly be introduced after being lost and found having  lived with the wolves???

The BBC has just tweeted:-

A first look at a brand new season of heart racing dramas including , , and

I have a small cameo role in The Missing so I didn’t have a chance to be in Belgium very long.  It looks like a great drama and I was delighted to meet James Nesbitt.

The Missing  has been slated to air simultaneously on BBC1 in the UK and Starz in the US later this year.

The show follows a man, James Nesbitt,  who goes to extreme measures to find out the whereabouts of his missing child who disappeared in France, and was described by Pattinson, exec producer at New Pictures, as a “complex and mature emotional thriller.
