An interesting drive to school this morning along the back lanes.  The snow was so heavy it was breaking branches off the trees.

Lais visits London – Der Medicus

This weekend I met up with Lais who comes from Germany. I played the young Rob Cole and  Lais played my sister in ‘The Physician’ and she is 7 years old. We went to Regents Park and it was very cold but we still had a good time.  Then Lais and her mum came to stay at our place for the night.  Then she went to visit her relatives who live in London. We hope to go to Berlin for the screening of ‘The Physician’  and I will see her again then.

Is it A Bird?

Yesterday I met Alexander  Polli.  He is a human flight athlete and   I have looked at some of his videos on Youtube and they are awesome.  You have to see it to believe it, especially the flight where he is bringing in the New Year.  He flies through a slalom of flags with 2013 on and he crashes through them as he flies down. The signs are only 2 metres off the ground and he is travelling at about 150 mph!! Go and look at his website, you will be shocked and amazed. http://alexanderpolli.com http://www.youtube.com/alexanderpolli

BLANDINGS

I am so looking forward  to seeing Timothy Spall @pastafa on the new BBC comedy ‘Blandings’ I think he is one of the best actors and I watch and learn from him.  At school, I am told that I have to sing and dance, I can sing and dance o.k. but my main interest and strength is drama .  Timothy Spall has played so many different parts and is a real character actor.  You don’t see him doing much singing, but I remember him being brilliant in ‘The Fattest Man in Britain’ on the karaoke  machine!     ‘The Syndicate’ is...

2013

Here we go 2013 ahead.  I had a great Christmas.  Last year was really good with some great  jobs for  BBC  drama and radio, a lot of short films which were screened in festivals here and abroad.   My highlight of 2012 has to be working with Stellen Skarsgard, in ‘The Physician’ which comes out at the end of 2013.  I am really looking forward to seeing that.  It is epic.  I met loads of new people last year from Directors, Producers, actors and not forgetting the camera people, the sound people and the make up girls that made a...

I’M BACK

Hi,  I have been away for a little while and I have just come back for a break between filming .   I am doing a short film called ‘Once a Man’ and it is really interesting because it goes through lot of different ages. This is me with Bill Thomas who plays my character as an old man.  The next picture is me and my son as a grown up.  Then one of my son, played by Tom Sykes, and wife, played by Fiona Ryan and my daughter played by Iiona Bou-Habib, standing in the middle.  It is complicated!...

I have received a disc of the BBC Radio Drama ‘Storm’ by Sarah Weatherall and directed by Anne Bunting. I really enjoyed it.  It will go out on the 28th December at 14.15  so tuck up on the settee after lunch and have a listen. It is going to be busy over the next few weeks.   I have had a look at the photographs of where I will be working soon and I hope it doesn’t snow.   I am having a uniform made for me and it is very exciting.   It is drama about an under age...
